The Guitars

Starting from left to right

Rickenbacker (sunburst) - played by any number of 1960 British rock bands, including the “Beatles” & “Birds.”

Fender Strat (baby blue) – which you would find in the hands of the “Beach Boys” and other west coast surfer bands.

Gibson Explorer  (green)– developed by Gibson in the late 50’s, but really came to age in the 70’s and 80’s with heavy metal bands, as also did the

Flying V Gibson (dark blue)

Gibson ES 335 (red) – once used by the blues king, BB King, I also read that BB King’s “Luciel” was also a model ES355,  with an extra toggle switch Gibson added to allow for changing pickups.

Gibson SG (white) - is also the Carlos Santana custom version.

Gibson Les Paul (gold) – was named after the man who invented and developed the electric guitar.

Fender Telecaster (seafoam green) – popular guitar used by many famous musicians, including George Harrison, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and Bruce Springsteen.   However, I think this color went mostly to the surfer groups.

Gretsch (orange) – played by the most well known country gentleman of all, Chet Atkins.

I’ve played guitars most of my life and have owned and sold a good number of these.  This in no way makes me an expert but if I had a dream collection, this would be it.  For more specific information, check out Wikipedia on line.
